about
BARTA THEATRE ACADEMY

WHERE CREATIVITY MEETS OPPORTUNITY

The Berkshire ARTs Academy, initially a single centre in Bracknell offering training in Acting, Singing, and Dancing for up to 100 students per term, faced high demand leading to a waitlist. Deciding to expand and rebrand as BARTA Theatre Academy, they aimed to eliminate geographical barriers and increase accessibility.

BARTA focuses on boosting students' confidence and performance skills through enjoyable, structured performing arts training. With a team of passionate professionals, BARTA enhances children's independence, self-esteem, and social skills, among others. BARTA students have succeeded both locally and in high-profile roles in TV, film, and theatre, attributed to their comprehensive training and performance opportunities. The academy prides itself on its productions, such as Bugsy Malone and Les Miserables, supported by a professional creative and technical team, ensuring high-quality, memorable shows.

At BARTA, the artistic development of our students is at the heart of everything we do. Building confidence, cultivating performative skills and providing frequent performance opportunities is built into our DNA. Our facilitators in singing, dance and drama are constantly creating and adapting engaging sessions, which directly respond to the needs of the group. Our collective aim is to create confident and skilled performers who are adaptable and familiar with a diverse range of styles and performance techniques.
